When I first re-launched this site, I was pretty determined to keep the number of reading challenges to a minimum. I’m easily influenced and I knew that it would be easy for me to slip from mostly-reading-what-I-choose-to-read-with-some-reading-challenges-and-shared-reads-on-the-side to completely-forgetting-what-I’d-originally-chosen-to-read-myself.
So I set myself a limit of three challenges and then ended up adding so many of them, and editing and re-editing the page so many times, that it got a glitch in WordPress going, and made the page completely inaccessible. So did I take the hint and reduce the number of reading challenges, reconsider and accept a more reasonable number of them?
No, of course not. I just made a new parent category and now each challenge will have its own page. I hope this makes WordPress happier. My apologies if this means that any challenge-organizers end up with a 404 error for a link that once-worked but is now permanently landing somewhere cold and lonely in the ether.
